Making A Purchase Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our on-line store, and add any items that you wish to buy into the shopping cart. After you have finished your selection, click on 'Checkout' and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to complete the order.

PRODUCT PRICING
All prices on our website are inclusive of VAT.

A delivery charge of £6.50 to a NG (Nottingham) postcode and £12 is automatically added for the weekdays deliveries within mainland UK. Saturday deliveries and deliveries outside of mainland UK can be made but would be subject to a surcharge - please contact us on +44 (115) 9484461

When confirmation of order is received, this is to indicate that we have received your order. It does not indicate that a contract exists between us. We will indicate acceptance of your order, and hence a contract between us, when we send you an invoice. We have included this term to protect us in the case that a mistake has been made in pricing, we have inadvertently under-priced goods, or we are no longer able to supply a particular product for some reason. In the case of a change of price, we will always contact you first to ensure that the price is acceptable.
Shipping And Handling
PACKAGING
All mail order gifts are packaged in strong protective outers.

DELIVERY ADDRESS INFORMATION
Please ensure all addresses are accurate and include postal town and postal code, together with recipient's telephone number. Inaccurate addresses will incur extra delivery charge to yourself and inevitable delay. We will deliver to the address as you enter it and cannot accept any liability for late or failed delivery if the quoted address is incorrecr or incomplete.

RECIPIENT ABSENT
Should the recipeint be out when our courier attempts delivery and no one is available to accept delivery, a card will be posted through the letterbox advising the recipient that a delivery as been attempted and inviting them to telephone our courier to arrange either:

- A collection from the nearest depot, which is available the working day after the card was left
- Re-delivery to the original address during normal working hours.

Any parcels not delivered or collected within five working days will be automatically returned to Delilah Fine Foods. A charge of £15 inc VAT is made for re-delivery to the original or alternative address. A charge will also be made for any items which become unsuitable for sale and need replacing (perishable and chilled items like smoked foods, hams and cheeses which have short shelf lives).

At point of order the purchaser can leave 'if out' instructions to be attached to the goods e.g. If out please leave with neighbour. Delilah cannot be held responsible for damage or theft of goods where an 'if out' instruction ahs been issued by the purchaser.

If the hamper is being sent as a gift, we would advise that you cal the recipient to let them know to expect a delivery. Some cusomers find it helpful to send hampers to the recipient's work address.

Our guarantee is limited to delivering to the building, not individual recipients.


PARCEL TRACKING
Your UK mainland orders is scanned onto the courier's van from Delilah and can be tracked up to deliver at recipient's address. If you wish to track your pacel, please contact us for web site details and the consignment number of your parcel.

Delivery Schedule Next day delivery to most UK mainland destinations is included in the fixed £6.50 to a NG (Nottingham) postcode and £12 delivery charge added at the checkout if you order before 12.00 noon (GMT) Monday to Thursday, unless otherwise stated. This does not apply to Scottish Highlands which are on a two day service. Outside of the UK mainland and for some destinations within UK mainland our couriers apply nadditional, variable charges.

If the delivery address provided is within the UK mainland, however falls outside of the UK mainland charges we will contact the sender before processing the order to advise of the additional payment and obtain permission before proceeding.

Outside the Christmas season, we recommend you place your order at least two working days prior to delivery. We always do our best to deliver your gift by your preferred date.

Please note - deliveries over the Christmas period is ubject to different conditions, where the Christmas delivery schedule applies.

We are unable to deliver to PO Box or BFPO addresses.

Overseas deliveries - please contact us for delivery costs. We cannot guarantee deliveries outside UK mainland for a specific date.

EXCLUSIONS
We reserve the right to refuse any International orders on the basis of a particular countries customs and prohibitions which do vary from time to time.

CUSTOMS
Delilah Fine Foods cannot be held responsible should local customs authories wish to confiscate any item contained within the hamper or charge any import duty. This is unfortunately outside of our control and as such, you, the customer, will be responsible for any such charges.

FRESH FOODS
We will not send any fresh items overseas as the variable delivery timescales mean we cannot guarantee that fresh items will not perish in transit.

ORDERS PLACED ON FRIDAYS, SATURDAYS & SUNDAYS
Thursday before 12.00 noon (GMT): Unless a Saturday deliver is requested, the earliest day for delivery is the follow Monday.

Thursday after 12 noon (GMT); the earliest day for delivery is the following Tuesday.

Orders placed on Saturday and Sunday will be delivered on the following Tuesday.

SATURDAY DELIVERY
We can deliver on a Saturday if your order is placed before 12 noon (GMT) on the Thursday before. Saturday delivery is subject to an additional charge. You will be notified of the additional payable at point of purchase. This service is for UK mainland only. Telephone us on +44 (0) 115 9484461 to request a Saturday delivery.

DELIVERY TIMES
Courier deliveries are made between 8am and 5pm Monday to Fridays on UK working days. We cannot specify an actual time as the drivers routes change daily. We can offer a next morning delivery by 10.30 at an additional cost.

COLLECTION
Gifts may be collected personally. Please contact us to book in a time for your collection.

CHRISTMAS 2008
To avoid disappointment, orders fro guaranteed Christmas delivery should be placed with us no later than 15th December. If ordering after this date please contact us for availabilty and delivery times.
Back Orders If your item is not in stock, we will back order for you. You will always be emailed with the option to cancel your order if you would rather not wait.
Tax Charges For orders made from the UK or the European Union, 17.5% VAT is added. All other orders are VAT free.

Returns Policy It is the policy of Delilah Fine Foods to ensure that all our goods are supplied to our customers in perfect condition and that every possible precaution is taken to protect the integrity of the product that is sold. To this end, we do not exchange food, beverage or any other item that has come into contact with the person. This policy does not affect your statutory rights.

SUBSTITUTIONS
Every effort will be made to supply the items as specified. However, the contents of the Hampers are subject to demand, availability and ruling prices. Delilah Fine Foods reserve the right to substitute items of an equal or higher value. Items shown in photographs and accompanying list are purely illustrative of a typical example of contents.

Gifts containing Christmas items ordered during the rest of the year will automatically be substituted unless otherwise requested. Vintages of wines may change through the year.

CLAIMS FOR LOSS OR DAMAGE

In the unlikely event of damage or loss in transit, we will replace the damaged contents or gift immediately free of charge providing the following:

1. The goods are signed for on recipt as either 'damaged' or 'unexamined'.

2. The carrier and ourselves are informed at once and it is confirmed by the recipient to us in writing within 3 days of delivery quoting reference number on the parcel.

3. Damaged goods must be retained for inspection and it may be required that they be returned to Delilah Fine Foods at our expense before replacement or refund.

4. All claims must be submitted within a reasonable time. Our couriers recommend a maximum of fourteen days.

5. Returned goods must clearly show the full name, address and telephone number of the sender.

6. We cannot accept responsibility for the wrong order or non-delivery, resulting from incorrect information or addresses being provided

CANCELLATION OF ORDER
Customers have the right to cancel their order without reason by informing us with 7 working days of receipt of the goods, and returning the goods to us. In this case they will receive a full refund less any charge for perishable goods which cannot be resold and any items which have been unsealed or consumed. Refund will take place within 30 days of written notice of cancellation once the hamper has been returned to us suitably packaged. All returned items must be in good condition. In these circumstances Delilah Fine Foods will not be responsible for the cost of returning goods. Notification of order cancellation must be in writing.

ALCOHOL
It is illegal to sell alcohol under the age of 18. It is also an offence for persons under 18 to buy, or attampt to buy alcohol. No personunder the age of 18 may place an order with Delilah Fine Foods Ltd if the goods contain alcohol.
